A good medium bodied red or white wine work well with meats such as pork & chicken. The sauce accompanying the meat determines the wine to choose. Generally white or red Burgundy, or a good new world wine go well with a roasted chicken. When using a creamy sauce, choose a wine with good acidity such as Chenin Blanc or a Verdicchio. Light reds like a Beaujolais or something traditional from Portugal such as a Bairrada are great with pork.
