André Dezat is one of the characters of Sancerre and he is known locally and throughout most of the Loire as "le p'tit d" ('dieu'). His two very capable sons are in charge, Louis in the cellars and Simon in the vineyards. Both his daughters-in-law, Sylvie and Nadine run a very efficient office.
Their red Sancerres are some of the finest and most sought-after in the region. The Cuvée Prestige, from 40 year old vines, sees 100% new oak. Their barrel cellar would put many a Burgundian cellar to shame!
Demand is such that stocks are strictly limited.
