Jean-Bernard Moindrot took over the family estate in 1970. His own son, Valentin, joined him in 2006, and they now have 15 hectares under vine; 11 of Sauvignon Blanc and 4 of Pinot Noir, planted on clay-limestone soils. Their vines are sited in Morogues, the western-most part of the appellation. Since Valentin's first solo vintage in 2006, the last seven years have seen a steady progression in the quality of the wines produced.

Both red and white are immediately attractive, and give instant pleasure. Neither is a less expensive alternative to Sancerre, but both are quite delicious in their own right.
