Light, fruity and creamy, our Flagship single malt is made with 100% homegrown barley and is the culmination of our bourbon matured style following on from our First and Second Releases launched in 2019. It is now beautifully rounded and will be forming the cornerstone to our upcoming core range.

Following the popularity of our award-winning Moscatel Finish, we�re excited to announce the release of Filey Bay Moscatel Finish Batch #2. Launched back in March 2020, Moscatel Finish was our first �finished� whisky and quickly became a favourite of ours - and our customers - to savour and enjoy throughout the tough year of 2020. Tasting notes: Soft, sweet and fruity with flavours of orange, honey, dried fruits and cocoa.

Distilled in 2016, this �field to bottle� single malt spent years maturing in bourbon casks before transferring to be �finished� in shaved, toasted and re-charred red wine barriques, which came from sunny Rioja vineyards in Spain. Light and floral, with layers of summer berries and vanilla ice cream, there�s a sweet and oaky spiciness that hints at a fantastic glass of Spanish red wine.

A much anticipated first, as we give our light and fruity signature whisky a subtle sweet smokiness by finishing in peated casks. Primarily matured in first-fill bourbon casks laid down in the spring and summer of 2017 before a secondary maturation in peated casks tying together the Yorkshire coast with the West coast of Scotland making this release very different from all our previous releases. How smoky is this release? Our Peated Finish is all about balance; soft and sweet with a gentle twist of smoke making this Filey Bay release perfect for any whisky fan whatever their preference.

Grown, brewed and distilled by us. This release explores the possibilities of our unique position as farmers, brewers and distillers. Alongside Wold Top Brewery, our sister company, we�ve finished our light and fruity single malt in ex-IPA casks, creating something completely unusual, distinctive and absolutely delicious. Tasting notes: Light, fruity and biscuity with notes of green apple, pear drops, lemon cake and hops.

For the third of our annual autumn Sherry Cask Reserve series, Whisky Director Joe married together five Fino casks from the warehouse, three which were filled with our Pot distillate, and 2 which held our lighter column distillate. Tasting notes: Fruity and spicy with flavours of ginger cake, boiled sweets, honeycomb and cinder toffee.

Expanding our horizons to Portugal by way of our first Port Finish release. Bringing added sweetness and spice to our ex-bourbon matured house style 'field to bottle' whisky. Tasting Notes: Rich, spicy and fruity with flavours of blackberry jam, dark chocolate and vanilla.

Our annual final release to close out 2024 and the fifth outturn of our Sherry Cask Reserve. Balancing the best of our distillery character with some of our rarest maturing stocks this is a marriage of whiskies matured in two types of ex-Sherry casks. The ex-Moscatel casks bring a brighter character along with a subtle creaminess; while the ex-Pedro Ximenez casks bring richness, dried fruits, and festive flavours that are much loved in this style of whisky.

For us it’s about doing things properly. That’s why we're obsessed with every step of the distilling process, from grain to glass. Mentored by renowned whisky expert Dr. Jim Swan, our instinctive approach is to create a whisky that doesn’t just replicate Scotch. That doesn’t mean we rely on blind luck – we take the best of tradition and apply new thinking to create something unique.

FIELD TO BOTTLE.

All our barley is grown here in Hunmanby, on our family farm, and we get our water from two sources, sunk deep into the chalk. We're in control of every stage of the growing and distilling process, from choosing the variety of barley and how it is grown, right through to bottling ourselves at the distillery. Very few other distilleries in the UK can claim this and it's something we're exceptionally proud of.
