The Fonseca Unfiltered LBV is aged in oak vats, where it gradually matures and falls bright. It is then drawn off into bottle with no fining or filtration. The result is a naturally expressive wine which has sacrificed none of its depth and fullness of flavour. As this LBV is not filtered, it is possible that a light sediment may form in the bottle after two or three years. Fonseca Unfiltered LBV is ready to drink immediately and makes an excellent by the glass alternative to Vintage Port for more relaxed and informal occasions.
