This comes from grapes grown in coastal vineyards in Monterey, Santa Barbara and elevated Mendocino. A touch of Syrah and other varieties add spiciness to the palate. Monterey lends earthiness, Mendocino for ripe black fruit flavour and Santa Barbara gives the wine a floral nose and rich, ripe fruitiness. Aged for 6 months in French oak.
