A lovely pale-pink colored wine made from low-yielding Gamay. The nose is enticing with fresh, lively notes of citrus fruit, red berries and floral hints. It is vividly fresh on the palate, medium-bodied with raspberry flavours mingling with grapey and citrus notes. An excellent aperitif or with grilled fish and white meats.

The Domaine des Mazelles was established in the late 1930s and extends over the hills of the Cher River Valley on the right bank of the village of Thézée, nearby the famous Châteaux of Chenonceau. The property now has 15 hectares of vineyards located in AOP Touraine, Chenonceaux and Crémant de Loire and features a special terroir of clay-siliceous flint-infused soil, and of some of the best exposure the valley has to offer.

The grapes are harvested at 3 am in the morning, to minimise oxidation and limit coloration, and then quickly pressed - only 3 hours at most are allowed to elapse between picking and pressing. The juice then undergoes a cold prefermentation for 5 days, followed by a low temperature fermentation and finally six months of maturing in stainless steel tanks.
