We are delighted to bring our Lindores Single Malt Scotch Whisky MCDXCIV (1494) to whisky lovers the world over. Matured in a selection of Bourbon Barrels, Wine Barriques and Sherry Butts. Distilled from Kingdom of Fife barley through our distinctive �sister� spirit stills and distillery bottled.

Lindores Lowland Single Malt Scotch Whisky. �The Casks Of Lindores, Sherry Butt� is a Limited Bottling from Lindores Abbey Distillery. Matured exclusively in Oloroso Sherry Butts from the area around the city of Jerez de la Frontera in Spain. This Lindores Single Malt is bottled onsite at our unique Limited-Edition strength of 49.4% ABV. Non chill filtered.

Matured exclusively in Shaved, Toasted and Recharred Red Wine Barriques from Spain. This Lindores Single Malt is bottled onsite at our unique Limited-Edition strength of 49.4% ABV. Our Tasting Notes: Colour � Dark Chestnut | Nose � Mellow fruity apricot jam, toffee notes and a hint of cinnamon combined with butter and custard | Palate � Sweet and spices. Mellow plums and red berries, treacle, cinnamon spice and a pleasant woody smoky note. Very smooth, silky texture | Finish � Medium to long with spices, honey and caramel notes.

Tasting Notes: Initial light top notes of peach and pear, give way to hints of ginger, clove and cinnamon spice. Rich, caramel sweetness and some lovely light herbal notes on the finish. Complex and rewarding. We recommend drinking Aqua Vitae in a Highball glass filled with ice, pour over 50ml of Aqua Vitae topped with Ginger Ale, and garnish with a twist of Orange. We have discovered that Aqua Vitae is an incredibly versatile drink that can be used to make the most amazing summer and winter recipes, so grab some ice, a few ingredients and release your inner mixologist!

As the officially recognised site of the first recorded distillation of Scotch Whisky in 1494, which appears in the Exchequer Roll of the same year, Lindores is again taking its place in history with its Single Malt Scotch Whisky.

Over 500 years after Brother John Cor, a Lindores monk, was commissioned by King James IV to turn 8 bolls of malt into Aqua Vitae, Lindores are delighted to re-open the history book.
