Truly up and coming stars of their generation. Emmanuel and Charles-Henry Fourny own and lease 16 hectares of 1er Cru vineyards in the Cotes des Blancs, and exclusively around Vertus. They practice their own lutte raisonnee which is organic in the vineyards and prune very short to restrict yields. The average age of their vines is 30 years, and the chalk vineyards are planted 90% to Chardonnay and 10% Pinot Noir. Only the first pressing is used and all of their wines receive a minmum of 3 years ageing prior to disgorgement and a further 6 months in bottle. The rose, which is mainly Pinot Noir, with a touch of Chardonnay, is crisp, stylish and gorgeous.
