This wine is called «R» as in Roger, one of the founders of our house. Entirely vinified in small oak containers, this wine has been maturing in our cellars for at least 20 years after bottling. The Veuve Fourny house has a unique know-how for old- fashioned winemaking. Opulence and smoothness: a great Blanc de Blancs gourmet champagne, for exceptional dishes. Terroir:
Vertus Premier Cru Rendzine over chalk

Age of the vines, 50 years old

Grape variety: 100 % Chardonnay
Vinification: Cuvee (First pressed juices only)
18 months on lees in oak casks 100 % unfiltered

Blending:
Blanc de Blancs, 2 consecutive vintages (50 % of each)

Ageing:
For a minimum of 20 years on lees after bottling in our 19th century cellars with a low and constant temperature

Dosage: Extra brut 3/4 grams per liter, grape sugar syrup
